Important points to check before you select a used cars:
1. To start with always check the tyres, make sure they are not worn off and are road worthy.
2. Check with left and right panels and also see whether the color is matching with the roof of the car.
3. Just lie down under the car and check for any kind of oil leaks from the bottom of the car.
4. Ensure whether gears work smoothly and clutch engages correctly.
5. If the cars meter shows less mileage and seats are worn out then check if the meter setting is altered.
6. Start the car and check the smoke from the silencer because excessive smoke any color can be a sign of trouble.
7. When you start the car check if the engine is idling smoothly.
8. Always inspect a car in daytime while it’s dry as a bone as raindrops or low light can bury all manner of external, or occasionally grim, problems.
9. Most important point is to check if there are any car loans on the car you are going to buy.
Don’t try to buy a stolen car but if still you like it then check whether it has outstanding car credit, because then you will have no lawful right of possession and it can be confiscated or returned to the equitable possessor. If you purchase from a trader, ask him what checks they’ve done, or ask for a ‘history report’ from HPI to ensure if the car was beforehand written off, damaged, stolen.
